A valid passport and a visa are required for entry into Côte d’Ivoire. The biometric visa application can be carried out either at the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire in your country. Since 02 January 2014, the certificate of approval of the authority and the certificate of pre-enrollment are mandatory before boarding for Côte d’Ivoire, simply go to the website of SNEDAI. The price of the visa is 70 euros for a short stay and 130 euros for a long stay.

About fifty stands will be available at the Palais de la Culture in Abidjan, the MASA’s main site.

The yellow fever vaccine is mandatory for entry into Côte d’Ivoire. Remember to do it 10 days before your stay. It is advisable to also be vaccinated against tetanus, typhoid fever, hepatitis A and B. Be adviced by your doctor for an appropriate treatment against malaria.

Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport is located in Port-Bouët, an estate of Abidjan. It is 16 km from the city center (plateau) with an average journey time of about 25 minutes when the road is free and 45 minutes for traffic jams. Those arriving for the first time in Abidjan, the large hotels also offer their own shuttle service. If not, it is possible to take a taxi to get there. They are red in Abidjan and usually equipped with meters. The cost of the taxi is about 3500 FCFA from the airport to  Plateau, 5000 FCFA beyond  plateau and double fare after midnight.
