On November 11 and 12, 2019, the MASA National Artistic Committee (NAC) met in Abidjan to select artists and artistics groups for the MASA festival of the 11th edition of MASA to be held March 7-14, 2020 in Abidjan around the theme: Africa-world.

The NAC has examined 208 applications received at MASA headquarters using one of the following ways: via the website, by physical dropping or by mail.

The applications were, among others, from the following countries: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Canada, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Colombia, Congo Brazzaville, Ivory Coast, United States, France, Gabon, Ghana, Guadeloupe, Guinea , Haiti, Italy, Mali, Morocco, Martinique, Mozambique, Netherlands, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Chad, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda …

As a result of the selections, the NAC has selected:

21  in music;
8 in dance ;
6 in theater ;
5 in slam ;
2 in standup comedy ;
1 in circus arts and puppetry;
1 in storytelling.

A total of 44 artists or artistic groups from 15 countries were selected for the MASA festival.
