Official list of groups selected for the MASA Marché (IN) 2022

From September 27 to 30, 2021, the International Artistic Committee (CAI) of MASA held in Abidjan its technical meeting for the 12th edition of MASA which will take place from March 5 to 12, 2022 in Abidjan around the theme: Cultural and creative industries: the content challenge.

The CAI studied 801 applications received at MASA headquarters.

The applications came from, among others, the following countries: South Africa, Algeria, Anguilla, Argentina, Benin, Belgium, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Canada, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Colombia, Comoros, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Korea, Spain, United States, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Gabon, Ghana, Guadeloupe, Guinea, Haiti, Île Bouvet, Iran, Italy, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Martinique, Mexico, Mozambique, Niger , Nigeria, Uganda, Palestine, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Saint Lucia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Chad, Togo, Tunisia…

At the end of its work, the CAI selected:

– 32 artistic groups in music;

– 9 in theater;

– 14 in dance: including 4 in heritage dance and 10 in contemporary dance

– 6 in slam and stage reading;

– 6 in humor;

– 6 in circus and puppetry arts;

– 5 in tale.

A total of 78 artists and artistic groups from 23 countries were selected for the official selection.
