Created in 2012, the cultural and artistic company AFUMA is composed of 3 stilt walkers and 2 percussionists. All from Atakpamé in Togo, they are all trained according to traditional techniques. Indeed, they climb the stilts, which can measure up to 5 meters, since their earliest childhood. They perform precise figures whose symbolism accompanies ritual ceremonies attached to each practice. This company offers high performance circus performances through its participation in many international festivals. We can cite the « Awaln’Art of Marrakech » of Morocco, the « Dance Niger Street » of Niger, the « Teni Tedji » of Benin, the « Souar Souar 2015 » of Chad, the « Rendez-vous chez nous » of Burkina Faso, the « MASA » in Abidjan, the « Couleur café » in Brussels and various festivals in France, including the « Cirque du Soleil » festival. For this purpose, the company will be present in France from 8 to 11 November 2018.
